Ashley & Justin- Emporia Wedding

Sixth grade it started. Looks at each other across the hallway, whispers from friends saying ‘he likes you’, and love notes. Ashley finally gave in and started dating Justin. Soon after, they broke up and stayed away from each other…but not for long. In 8th grade they found themselves drawn back to each other. And just as quickly as it started, it ended once more. At this point Ashley swore off Justin….until college. Now Ashley and Justin both went to different colleges but over freshmen Christmas break they ran into each other at a party. And once more feelings were being rediscovered and the doors just flew open. They began dating and now look where they are. Happily and blissfully married.

 

Ashley & Justin, thank you so much for letting me be apart of your big day! It was beautiful! I hope you two are having an amazing time in Italy, eat some pasta for me!

I never post to many dance photos but they were just all so in sync and awesome! And no I’m not referring to the amazing boy band but if Justin Timberlake showed up at this wedding, I wouldn’t be mad at all!Ring shots. Janell- Norfolk Modelesque Shoot

I met Janell last year after she contacted me to do an anytime shoot of her & her husband David. She contacted me again a month ago wanting to do a modelesque shoot of her. Of course! She said she had all these stylish clothes that were beautiful and she thought why not? Let’s do a model shoot. I am so glad she did too! She was amazing! Now I’ve never really done a model shoot before and her neither and we both went into this blindly, except for pinterest. I mean we both used the mess out of pinterest! But I thought we both did amazing!

Janell, Thank you so much for allowing me to photograph your model shoot! I had an amazing time & girl you ROCKED it!!!

P.S- Janell also wants me to do a modelesque shoot of David as well, look out for that shoot next month!

We headed to downtown Norfolk for the shoot. And the weather was just amazing, a perfect day!Loved all of her clothes! She said she got them all from Express. Samantha & Gabe- Virginia Engagement

Sam & Gabe go back, way back. They met when they were 14 in high school. They became friends in 10th grade. And at the summer party before her junior year? They shared an amazing kiss. Gabe never called Sam back. You would think end of story, no big deal, but your wrong.

Ten years later Sam was browsing facebook and Gabe’s name just so happened to show up on her ‘facebook recommends’ friends page.  Of course Sam added him! Sam loved how sweet, nice and funny Gabe was…even if he didn’t call her back ten years ago.

After several messages of flirting, Gabe asked her out.

And that forgotten phone call ten years ago? It doesn’t matter, because these two were meant to be.  Just not then, but now…and forever. They love these two share is beautiful. It’s like watching a puzzle being finished.  And they are just amazing.

 

I know Sam from church & I knew she loved fashion & Beyonce. So I knew she would rock the camera…and she did!

 

We started off the session at the restaurant Stove, where they shared their first date. It’s a hidden gem in Port Norfolk!  And with these two posing in front of it makes it even better;)Sam, your are BEAUTIFUL!Love.Love.LoveSam also loves high heels. Let me say that again, she loves high heels! I mean look how gorgeous these heels are!I LOVE this photo! Sam with all her heels and Gabe probably thinking ‘This is my life’, to cute!After Stove, we headed to Lone Star Lakes. It was beautiful out there!Mmm, look at that gorgeous girl!LOVE.LOVE.LOVEI love this pose! It is darling!These two are so in love & I love it!Ah, love it!Love.We found this random tunnel and Sam wanted to rock her model look. Her wedding decor is mostly peacock feathers, hence why she’s holding it. But look at that girl work the camera!Fierce!A little bling action won’t do any harm.These two know how to work the camera. AMAZING!Love it!Love this tunnel & this couple!And a little leg pop wouldn’t hurt either. Love it!!!!

-D.C Zoo. Sadly, I did not get to see any panda’s that day but I suppose this statue of one will do.

-Yes I listen to Drake occasionally. And yes part of why is because he played JimmyBrooks on Degrassi. And yes, I am a 12 year old girl.

- Nephew Justin’s birthday. Adorable.

-J.Star. Enough said.

-Craft time! I’m addicted to Pinterest.

-Hunger Games! The movie was AMAZING! Fan girl status. And yep, I collect anything related to fandoms I love. Again, I am a 12 year old girl.

- Elevator love before seeing J.Star. <3

-This was Colleen’s face as soon as I walked in the door. My dog loves me.

- Bookshelf’s MattD. built for me.  I read A TON! And boy is my husband crafty!!

Janelle Houston & Ryan Scarberry– Musician Shoot.

These folks, yes I used folks because it’s the South ya’ll!, are no strangers to the blog. You’ve seen them as a band as Goodbye Sailor  and you’ve seen them in my First Friday blog where Ryan performed. Now your seeing them solo!

Together they are Goodbye Sailor, but they both have solo albums. Janelle is working on her first album entitled, Down by the Creek. Her amazing mother is drawing her album cover for it, and here is the prototype I believe? Either way it’s beautiful! Janelle wanted a old fashioned shoot, very vintage and folksy, so I edited some of these photos to make them look oldsy. I don’t normally edit my photos this much but I know Janelle loves this style!

 

The day was amazing! I headed out to her house which was so beautiful. I mean super old sheds and a huge open field, what more could a girl ask for? Seriously, amazing! Ryan tagged along as well to get some solo shots of him as well. We drove to various locations and we got lost a couple times but we managed to find our way! I believe the Johnny Cash tape that was playing helped a little;)

Check out Janelle & Ryan’s solo work. They are amazing and I would buy their albums over & over!!

Janelle & Ryan, there’s no one else I’d rather get lost in the middle of nowhere with. Love you guys!!

Plus being insanely gorgeous doesn’t hurt either;)Since Janelle’s dog Ames will be featured on her album cover, she wanted to include him in some photos as well. Ames rocked it out too!
